External Email Tags

Emails are identified if they are from someone outside of WCPSS to increase the security of our data and to alert our end users of possible phishing attempts.

 

WCPSS email will display two tags when you receive an email from someone outside of WCPSS:

When should you expect to see the external email tags?

• If the email is from someone outside of WCPSS (not a @wcpss.net email address), you will see the tags.
• If the email is from someone internal (from WCPSS) you will not see these tags and can confidently know it is really from that person. 
• If it says it is from someone from within WCPSS and you see one of the tags, question the authenticity of the email and what it is asking you to do.
